Do Women Prefer Fat Men or Bald Men? Let’s Ask iJustine.

You know you’re out of touch with pop culture when you’re excitedly told that iJustine is going to be at an event and you’re like, “who the hell is that?”.

It turns out, iJustine is very hot. Not just in the physical sense but in the celebrity sense.

And more impressively, she did it all through Youtube videos. Armed with nothing but a handheld digital video camera and a laptop, she started producing videos of herself going about her day.

Yes, we’ve all seen people who do that. In fact, Youtube is filled with people like that. And most of them suck, which is why I spend as little time on Youtube as possible.

But iJustine has the distinction of appearing not to take herself seriously when in fact, she takes herself very seriously, which is the secret of her success.

But I didn’t find all this out until after I had met her and started Googling her.

The night I met her, which was about a week before my hair transplant operation, she was just another pretty face with some kind of celebrity status. And those are a dime-a-dozen in Miami.

So I decided to ask her the question I’ve been meaning to ask all females since launching this blog.

“Would you prefer a bald man or a fat man?”

The truth is, most women would prefer a chiseled man with a full head of hair, but there aren’t that many to go around.

And when we get older, we tend to either gain weight or lose hair or both.

It’s a question that’s been asked countless times on the internet. And the answer is pretty obvious once you realize women crave sex just as much as men.

They would prefer a bald, fit man over a fat man with a full head of hair.  They’d rather stroke their fingers over a man’s muscular buttocks than run their fingers through his hair.

But iJustine – who is never at a loss of words in her videos – refused to answer that simple question.

Granted, she has the looks, age and celebrity status where she doesn’t have to settle for one or the other, but it was just a hypothetical question. And we all had a good laugh over it as you can see in the above video. She’s a very cool chick.

I bring all this up because it was on the morning after my 43rd birthday last September that I realized I was on my way to becoming a fat, bald middle-aged man. And I wanted to do all I can to prevent that.

That is why I did not hesitate to get this hair transplant when it was offered to me. It’s been less than three months, so I’m just now beginning to see the results of the new hair.

And although it will take at least another year to see the full results, you can see from the above photo that I’m making progress if you compare them to photos I posted previously on this blog.

The area around my hairline that is slightly shaded is where the hair is growing out.

Meanwhile, I am focusing on my weight loss.

A couple of weeks after my birthday, I was conversing with my friend, Alex de Carvalho at a party, who had recently lost more than 50 pounds through a juice fast.

And he motivated me to start changing my eating habits, which caused me to start seeing instant results.  In a matter of months, I saw my weight drop form 205 to 182 before it started hovering around 185 and eventually 190 where it remains today. I would like to work it down to where it permanently stays at 180, which would be an ideal weight for my age and height at 5’9”.

No longer do I wake up and treat myself to a breakfast of buttered Cuban toast and ham croquettes from my local Cuban diner, followed by lunch, dinner and midnight meals of burgers, fries, wings, pizza, pastas and sandwiches, much of it swallowed with endless rounds of beer.

Now I wake up and indulge in a hemp berry almond milkshake that I prepare in my blender. Although it is banned from being grown in this country, hemp can be imported from Canada.

Contrary to what the government would like you to believe, it will not get you high. Instead, it is packed with protein, fiber, amino acids and omega fatty acids. Mixed with frozen berries, which are packed with vitamins and antioxidants, it makes the perfect breakfast food.

I also started including salads in my diet where I would never eat that before. Usually salads topped with steak, chicken or fish because I’m all about the protein.

And I snack on nuts throughout the day instead of Cuban bread, which is one of the best-tasting breads in the world. And I also got into the habit of drinking vegetable juices that I prepare in a juicer for optimum nutrients with hardly any calories.

I essentially cut out bread, pastas, pizzas, burgers and fried food, but not to the point where I won’t allow myself to indulge every once in a while.

Now my biggest challenge is getting back into the workout routine, which will consist of running on the treadmill and lifting weights, which will help me lose those last stubborn ten pounds.

But losing weight is 80 percent diet and 20 percent exercise, I have learned, so I’m more than halfway there.

And I will reach my goal before my transplanted hair grows out.

But let’s go back to the original question. What do ladies prefer? A bald man or a fat man?

I would love to hear from the ladies. But please give me a more direct response than iJustine did.

I’ve been where you’ve been (I’m a guy) and I can honestly say that you need to develop yourself as a person and then you’ll attract the right woman. This sounds too easy i know but I too chased the aesthetics thinking that would somehow make it easier to meet the right woman. To an extent it did. Once I started paying attention to myself in a physical sense it did help although I found that I attracted women who were in many ways superficial, which made a longer term relationship difficult. I was balding at an early age so I went the surgical route so I was able to blend in hair incrementally so most people had no knowledge that I was losing hair. It looked good though something was still missing. It took a couple of more decades for me to understand that once I started pursing my personal goals (financially, career wise, spiritually) that things got better. One thing that I do know is good is exercise both from an aesthetic point of view and health wise. Even when I didn’t have much hair I found that when I was in good shape it was easy to mingle and get dates. So I would place that at a priority over surgery.

In the end I’m certainly not saying that you have done anything wrong – far from it. You are just trying to line things up for success and that is commendable. But just be aware that improving your physical attributes sometimes will attract those women who are interested ONLY in the physical attributes. I suspect you want the whole package. You are definitely honest and open and I think that is a great. There are plenty of guys who wouldn’t have the courage to talk about these things. Good luck

  • But here’s the thing I tell people as a balding REALLY fit guy.
Women can find an averagely built guy with hair just as easy; and as a fit guy you can’t walk around 24/7 topless. You can wear form fitting clothes but that even reeks of desperation when you start losing your hair. Women can tell you are compensating.
There is no win win or even win/lose when your hair goes. Unless you are SUPER rich or famous.
I will say from experience prior to getting hit hard (25 to 30ish) with it I could easily pick up women without trying. Younger, older, my age it did NOT matter and I was NOT an aggressive person with it. I was very meticulous and calculated with my choices using eye contact and body language as tells.

Once hair loss kicks in you will not get the looks and language letting you properly know “its okay to talk to me”. The looks you do get are usually passing, disgusted or uninterested.

My brother is TWO years younger than me, has nearly the SAME face and perfect hair and racks in girls left and right. Where we used to be able to go out together and women would eagerly talk to either of us, now they openly ignore me. One recently outright said “THAT’S YOU’RE brother, hes so much hotter”. MEANWHILE he DOES NOT work out, has the speech capabilities of a 3rd grader, ZERO charm and BARELY a high school diploma.

Hair is the sign if youth, strength and virility (Sampson). Baldness is a sign of sickness, weakness and frailty (also Sampson).

Also you’re article is the same as saying “hey ladies would you prefer a bald guy or one with 90% facial burn scarring”.
When you say “fat” your mind automatically perceives grossly obese and maybe not slightly over weight. There are so many variables to that question its truly impossible to answer honestly because we can ONLY go by extremes.
So to the asked you’re basically saying do you want a norwood 7 male with 1980’s Arnold’s body or 1980’s Gibson hair with a John goodman body (or I guess goodman hair to, man he has thick hair).

If a woman has the choice of a super built guy who is slick bald or a guy with great hair who is maybe 20lbs overweight shes probably taking the overweight guy. Should she get stuck with him she can convince him to lose weight. You can;t convince hair to grow….. trust me Ive tried reasoning, threatening and even bribing. Nothing works. Remember 99% of the time fat is a choice that can be corrected, hair loss is NOT.

I shaved my head for 2 years down to buzz cut 0 on the clippers. Never slick.
I never got complimented from a women and due to my built was usually perceived as a prison inmate. When I finally grew what hair I have back both my female bosses told me NEVER shave again and even my girlfriend, who convinced me to shave it, said she hated it.

I recently went for my first FUE and my results after 6 months have been so so. Much better than the before pics but no where near what would make a good head of hair.
You are basically relegated to either one nighters with fat girls or a shotgun marriage to a hotty who will treat you like crap.

Women would like to appear less shallow than men but they are JUST as bad if not WORSE.
This isn’t a bad thing, you can’t blame someone for wanting the best for themselves. especially if they have worked hard to get what they want or somehow just had great luck and feel blessed and deserved. If someone doesn’t like fat or bald it’s their choice. I personally don’t find fat girls attractive yet because of hair loss thats pretty much what you get relegated to. My girlfrind has gained so much weight since my hair loss and everytime we talk about it she points, well you’re losing your hair.
So in the end if you are losing your hair don’t even bother to work out.

By the way I have also never heard of iJustine and she is NOT that hot.
